Gavin's 4th Birthday!

Today we headed to Kevin Moran Park (Aka Ma's park) for Gavin's 4th Birthday park playdate! We meet with his buddies Ryan and Elise every week....and today we got to bake and bring sprinkled cupcakes! It was a very sunny day, perfect to run around and play at the park. Even better, Ma was there:)

After some long naps, we got in the car and headed to Benihana for Gavin's special dinner request. He LOVES to see them cooking, and he is so amazed. We got a great table, and Ma & Papa came....how perfect! Gavin got his teriyaki chicken and white rice, and he was set. We ended the night with ice cream and candles...and the whole restaurant singing to Gavin! 

After dinner, we headed home for our show. Gavin had decided he was going to put on a show with the new music instruments he got from Ma and Papa. He said the show was from "7 to 9pm" and he "did not have to go to bed until 9pm!" Gavin was clear that HE got to "make all the rules on his Birthday" and we let him. Yikes! He put on a GREAT show, and then he decided that he also needed me to sleep in his room at night. He has been begging me to have a sleepover with him (ever since Griff and Bells were here and slept in his room:) So, in his room I slept! What a birthday!!!

{Gavin 4 Years}

Dear Gavin,

Today you are four! I can't believe that my baby is FOUR! You are such a great little guy, and we are so proud of who you are.

I don't even know where to start. You are incredibly funny. You don't always mean to be, but you are. You say some pretty grown up things, and you are always amazing us with your vocabulary.

You are active these days, like usual.....riding your bike, swimming, running, and climbing all the time. You are now officially a SWIMMER and can swim all by yourself. I am no longer worried about you in the water, and you are proud of yourself too:)

You are 4 years old, 40 inches tall, and 44 pounds. We also say you eat 4 meals a day. Lots of 4's!!!

You wear 4/5T clothes, and still wear diapers for bedtime. Some days you wake up dry, others not so much....you are on your way to being completely potty trained. No worries or stresses about it...

You continue to be a fantastic eater, and love to eat. Favorites include yogurt, smoothies, eggs, bolani, sausage, bacon, mac n cheese, oatmeal, milk, cheese, and any sweets you can get your hands on. We are pretty impressed with the amount you are able to eat at one time.

Gavin we love you so so so so so so so much. Words cannot describe how much we love you and who you are. Thank you for being you!

Happy 4th Birthday Gavin!!!

Today is Gavin's 4th Birthday! He woke up SUPER early to make his chocolate chip pancakes! After playing all morning, Austin eventually took a nap, and Gavin and I made some creations with his new play doh set. He was so proud of his peacock!

I know, its a million movies. He can't get enough. Probably about 3 hours a day he is spending in the pool. Thankfully its nice and warm!

Papa & Austie

We spent lots of time swimming at Ma and Papa's house this weekend. Gavin learned to swim without swimmies, so we needed to "practice" this all weekend. Austin gets in and out of the pool, and spends a lot of time sitting with and talking to Papa. Its so cute. 

Best Dad

I was not feeing well all weekend, and Derek was on super Dad duty. I came out to find him mowing the lawn with both kids in his arms. (They both LOVE to mow with him, but only when he is holding them) I am so lucky that he took care of all of us this weekend.
