First Day of Mountain School Carpool!

Well, it looks like I was nervous for nothing! I was scared Austin would miss me and cry and blah blah. Well, nope! None of it! He hopped up in Kerri's van, and he was off! He had fun playing and didn't ask about me once. I was sad when he was gone but I am SO thankful to have such an incredible person to care for him in school. Kerri is so incredible and Austin and Milo get along so well. Such a happy and proud mom today!

Austin's first day in 3's class at Mountain School!

Here is your first day in Teacher Kim, Jutta and Anne's 3's class! You are THRILLED to FINALLY be off to school! Today I went with you, but next week you will go with Kerri and Milo. 

You had a great day meeting friends and playing in the creek. Your favorite part of the day was catching ladybugs. You even put some in your pocket for safe keeping;)

Florida Keys!

We just got home from a fabulous trip to the Florida Keys! It was Aunt Marisa and Aunt Courtney's wedding!!! We stayed in a wonderful house with the whole family and it was so much fun. We had a pool, spa, ocean, kayaks, paddle boards, and lots more right at our house. There was also a fully stocked bar, where the boys learned to make some adult drinks!

The wedding was incredible. Everyone had a great time and the boys got to stay up late, play with sparklers, and eat cake at 10pm! 

Later in the week we went to Aquarium of the Sea and the Turtle Hospital. 

A full week of sun, family, key lime pie, and lots of fish tacos! Thank you to Auntie Marisa and Auntie Courtney for the super fun week!

{Gavin 73 Months}

Dear Gavin,

You have been in school for almost a month now, and you could not love it any more than you do. You look forward to it each day, and you really seem to love your classmates and teacher. You are so involved in everything and are doing really well. We are SO thankful to have found this school and community of people. It really is better than I hoped. 

You are busy with school, and it sure makes you tired. You come home, eat a second lunch and snack, and then watch a show. Then you nap for sometimes three hours!!! School really wears you out!

You spend the rest of your afternoons playing with magnatiles, cooking outside, and reading books. You are learning to read and you ask me to read you 20 books a day. 

Nothing more to report, as we are SUPER busy just getting home from TWO trips in a row. You are SUCH a great traveler!!!

{Austin 43 Months}

Dear Austin,

Another month has passed by. This last month has been busy but you and I have had a lot of time together since Gavin started school. We have all our mornings together since Mtn School hasn't started! We go to parks, play dates, and play at home. 

You are swimming more and more. You still require your floatie, but you will tolerate your face getting wet. We are crossing our fingers for a trip to Maui this summer, and I bet you start swimming then!

You enjoy reading, coloring, swimming, bath time, eating every hour, and iPad. Oh boy, you are our media kid! You just LOVE to play games on it! 

You are into cooking "All by yourself" these days. We cannot help, even in the slightest bit. You want to do it all, and mostly you can. 

You sleep so well, nap well, and eat well. You run non-stop and you show off. Here you are in this picture swimming naked in a freezing cold lake and you are laughing the whole time. 

We LOVE you so much Austie!

Horton-Hayden-Moore Truckee Family Camp 2015

Because of the terrible forest fires at Sequoia Lake, our fun filled weekend of Family Camp was cancelled. Although we were very bummed, we just are hoping that the fires stop very soon. 

Instead, the Horton's invited us and the Hayden's to their cabin in Truckee! We decided to do our family camp traditions there instead. We did lots of swimming in the freezing cold lake, hiking, paddle boarding, rafting and tons of playing. We did the same theme nights of Hawaiian, Western, and TieDye day.  

The kids brought their bikes and had a blast. Thank you Horton's!

Monday's are hard!

They just could NOT get along. It was time to break up the fight and there was a lot of sadness! (They were both to blame for this fight, but Austin "started it")

In the car later in the afternoon after not speaking to one another, Austin said all on his own, "Im just sorry Gava. Me didn't mean to hurt you" Gavin said "Its OK. I love you Austin."

OH MY GOSH WHAT JUST HAPPENED. I almost got in an accident. Then I cried. Then I had to pull over bc I was overwhelmed with pure joy.

Happy Birthday Ma!

Homemade cake for Ma. It was a mixture of key lime with vanilla and white cake. All mixed together. It was delicious and we all had fun celebrating the incredible Ma. 

No Sugar Bugs!

How did I get so lucky? Both of the boys have wonderful teeth and lovely dentist manners. They both hop right in the seat, put on the head phones for the giant flat screen movie above, and let them clean away. They don't hear much of what anyone is saying because they don't care....there is a MOVIE on! 

They get their assortment of loot...balloons, prizes for no cavities, picture taken, everyone comments "Ohh you boys are SOOOO cute!!!" and they eat. it. up.
