Sugar Bowl Ski Resort

Today we moved up a notch and went to a big ski resort, Sugar Bowl! Boy was this big, and I am still in shock at how incredible the boys did! No lessons this day, just plain fun and practice. I stayed put to help in case anyone wanted to take a break in between, but it turns out, these boys didn't want more than a 15min break!!! They were on that mountain ALL day with Dad!!!! Austin was perfecting his turning and jumping skills, and Gavin was working on turning to stop. I took so many videos and was cheering them along the way. It was so awesome!

Mt. Rose Sledding & Ice Skating!

Today's Truckee adventure was to Mt. Rose for some sledding! We came here last year and they boys had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. They did the big hill a handful of times and then just wanted to play and make snowmen. They played and played all day long. Then the best part was when they found a small little hill they could sled down...walking up was so much easier, and it had a ramp someone built. Perfect! What a fun day.

After we rested at home a bit, we got geared up again for some evening ice skating. We went to the same place we went last year and had so much fun. I rented skates to help Austin in case he needed it, but he didn't! He wanted to skate on his own, and he picked it up in seconds!!! I was so surprised since we only do this once a year, but he did great! So the rest of the time Gavin, Jake, Austin and Jack all skated without help and had a BLAST. Not one of them wanted to leave when it was time to go!

Truckee Ski Week 2016 Soda Springs

We left for Truckee yesterday and today woke early to head to Soda Springs! The boys had lessons and Derek and I even got to ski!

Gavin did 2hrs of private lessons on his snowboard, and Austin did an hour of private lessons on his skis. They both really enjoyed it and for the first time we had NO children with us! Imagine that!

Ano Nuevo 2016

Today we got up bright and early to head over to Ano Nuevo to go on a guided elephant seals tour! Ma and Papa invited us all to go and we were so excited because we NEVER get to see the seals up close! It was about a 3 mile hike and the most perfect sunny day! By the middle of the hike we didn't even need our coats anymore! We got to learn so much about the elephant seals and see SO many!!! So fascinating!!! Thank you Ma and Papa for the fun day.

Merry Christmas 2016!

Merry Christmas! We woke up to a LOT of presents under the tree!!! The boys got new bikes and TONS of presents! We played in our jammies, went for a few bike rides in our jammies, and hung around to play all day. Then at 2pm we headed out to go to the Tam's house for the Moore family Christmas. We all must have been tired because we only stayed there until about 7:30, before we decided that we needed to go home and go to bed! Exhausting few days! Best Christmas present in the world: My three happy and healthy boys.

Dinner with Meghan & Rusty!

We don't get to see Rusty and Meghan enough, so this was a special treat before Christmas! We went to hang out and then go to Mexico Lindo, one of our favorite Mexican restaurants! The boys love seeing them and goofing around. :)

{Gavin 88 Months}

Dear Gavin,

Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to be your mom. You are growing up so fast and becoming so responsible and so helpful. You remind me a LOT of your dad. He teaches you so much and I am so thankful!

You can be found riding your bike, playing outside, playing with friends, playing iPad, putting together lego sets, and doing art projects these days. You like to keep busy and thats is a trait you got from me! You are SO in love with the "dog party" at the park. Every day there is a group of people who meet at the park to let the dogs play together. You insist each day that we are home right at 4 so we can go. You and Austin run around with the dogs for a solid hour. They LOVE you guys and play play play. You think this is so awesome!!! You lay down and cuddle them and they kiss all over your face. You just laugh and laugh!

You love school, friends, and just about everything. Thank you for being so kind to me and others.

Love you Gava!

Momma
