He was GLUED to her hip for the entire 20 minutes she was there;) (Teacher Jane was his teacher last year...worlds best teacher)

{Gavin 37 Months}

Dear Gav,

Yet another month has passed. We are busy as ever these days, as school just started. You love life, and can usually be found talking to any and everyone around you.

You have gym class Monday, school Tuesday, art class Wednesday, and school Thursday...this leaves us Friday's to do whatever, and we are usually at the zoo, museum, or park. Busy days, but you love it all.

You still love to play outside any chance you have, you love to read books, and you love to talk. There is never a question of what you are talking about, you will explain and explain!

Sorry this is short, but you guys are napping, and I don't have much time. I must use it wisely!

Love you Gavie, thank you for making us smile and laugh each and every day.

Art Class and Second Hair cut!

Today Gavin started his fall art class at the community center. Its a great little class that has a ton of fun art projects to do. The best part? I don't have to clean up!!! He is taking it with his good pal Gordon, and even though they are a year apart, they get along very well:)

This afternoon we went to get baby Austin's haircut for the second time! I had been asked "how old is she?" like 40 times this week, so it was time. Plus it was in his poor eyes, so it needed to be done. He was not much of a fan, but he did not really cry, just whine. Now he looks so so old!!!

Lastly, I just need to comment on just how different Austin is from Gavin at this age! I was looking back at pictures, and boy were they so different! At this age, Gav needed a bib at all times. The drool was OUT of control. Austin barely ever drools. I have about 100 bibs waiting...Also, Gavin was so so cautious at this age. He was crawling and climbing, but he thought about everything he did. Oh boy, not Austin! Hes a wild man. Also, I was looking at pictures of us in Cincy when G was 7months, and that's when baby Annabel came home from the hospital...and Gavin just sat next to her car seat and smiled for a picture...Imagine Austin next to a car seat, oh no, he would NEVER just sit there, he would be inside ontop of the baby!!! Anyways, just wanted to note the differences. Oh, and the looks. They could not look more different! (I think!)

Second day at Savanah Chanelle

Today was Gavin's second day of school. It was such a great day! Both him and Ryan were so good, and had such a great time:) We picked up Ryan, and both the boys talked and giggled the whole ride up the mountain...it was so so cute to hear. Gavin is IN LOVE with all three teachers, and can usually be found right next to them. He participates in all the activities and story time...and LOVES when teacher Angie plays the ukulele. Excited for a great year!

First Day of School!

Today is Gavin's first day of school in the 3's class at Mountain School! He will be going Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Tuesdays I will drop him off with Lisa and Ryan (Our good friends and family partner for school) and on Thursdays, I will take Gavin & Ryan to school.

I already dropped off Gavin with Lisa, and he was SO excited to go! He ran to her car and said "Weesa, I LOVE your car!!!" Hahahaha. Then he jumped in and said "Bye Momma, See you later, don't be late!" Hahahaha again! We are so lucky to have such an easygoing 3 year old...no tears and such a good boy:) We shall see how it goes!

I feel so blessed that I am able to have this experience with Gavin. (And of course Austin in 2 years!) This school is the most magical place, and I would not be able to do this if I was working full time...so I am very thankful.

I was pretty sad leaving Gavin, mainly because this means my baby is really no longer a baby...he's going to school without me! BUT Baby A and I did really enjoy our morning together! It was spent napping and playing:)

Update: Got a call from Lisa at 11:40, and could hear G crying in the background. Apparently he fell and hurt his hand in the "Sticky Ivy" (???) and then he realized he "missed momma." So Lisa decided to pack up the boys a few minutes early to head home...Gavin said he had a lot of fun in the sand, creek, circle time, and the hike...but when he fell, he got sad and needed a hug from momma:( All in all, it was a good day he says! (Lisa says he was having a blast the entire time, even went on a creek hike with the teacher, just got sad at the end of the day)

{Austin 7 Months}

Dear Baby Austie,

Today you are seven months going on seven years old. I am not sure I have ever known a baby as active and as involved as you. You love the world, and don't miss a beat. If there is something going on, you need to know right away! You love to crawl around ANYwhere we go, including the sand and dirt. You have eaten your fair share of sand, and I think you learned your lesson. If you start to eat leaves, sand, or rocks I just say "Yuck" and you look at me and stop;)
Oh Austin. Our life is now spent chasing you around and letting you explore everything. You will crawl from one end of the house to the other in minutes, and you are INTO everything. Drawers, cabinets, toys, you name it and you need to taste it. You rarely put things in your mouth with your hands, you usually just put your face right to it to taste. We no longer wear any shoes in the house because you are constantly sucking on the floor. You see a speck or dot, and your mouth is on it in seconds. Funny and kinda gross;) You can now climb stairs AND the step stool...just 2 days ago you figured out how to climb the step stool and I almost had a heart attack when I saw this. So so SO strong!

You are a very happy little guy, and smile at anyone who smiles at you. A few times you have acted a little shy towards strangers, so I think a little stranger aanxiety may be setting in. You laugh, squeal, and scream when you are happy. This is most of the day, so its pretty loud in our house! When you are mad you yell VERY loud, until you are satisfied.

Your sleeping is better these days. You go to bed between 7:30 and 8pm and get up once around 3 or 4 to nurse, and then go back to bed until 5:30-6. You are napping 2, sometimes 3 times a day. You prefer to nap in your bed, and will sleep longer there (opposed to the car). You are nursing on demand through the day, and eating 3 "meals" in your high chair. Good Lord, if we don't get the food on your tray fast enough, you act like the world is over!

You have now had almost every food in the world. (that we eat at least!) We just give you what we are eating, and you gobble it down. Most of it ends up in your lap and the floor...Your favorites are any fruit and any veggie...and you LOVE bread and pasta.

You laugh the most at your brother. He plays peek-a-boo with you and you just squeal so much. Its the best thing in the world to watch:) You LOVE to sing songs, and your favorite is when I sing you "You are my sunshine" You will just sit still and smile at me. Pure heaven. You also love when we blow bubbles in the bath...you will try to grab them and you are so confused when you don't get them:)

Your brother starts school this week, so you and I will have one morning a week, with just us! I plan to give you as many kisses as I can, and just be able to spend time with you. I will probably even hold you while you nap (We do this when brother is not home) because this time is so precious....as you will be grown up before we know it. I will savor every moment you are still a baby:)

We are so lucky to have YOU baby A!

Love you always-
Momma

Last week of Summer!

What a fun week! It was our last week of summer bc Gav starts school on Tuesday. Here are the snaps of whats going on around here. Gav now rides his razor scooter SUPER fast, and we need to run to catch up to him! We had a little "storm" on Wednesday, and Gavin HATED the thunder. We went to the zoo on Thursday, and had a blast on the "frog hopper" NOT! Gavin did not like free falling! Baby A enjoyed steamed broccoli and carrots for dinner. Last but not least was a fun beach trip today. Daddy took the day off work (He has been working VERY hard) so we dropped everything this morning and headed down to Monterey. A fun aquarium/beach day was what we all needed:)

My Boys

Oh these boys....they really are the sweetest little guys in the world. I never knew that I could have so much love inside me for two children...but I sure do. I can't imagine my world without my three boys.

Hidden Beach with ALL the boys!

I can't believe I forgot to put these up! Oh, wait yes I can, we were so so busy for three straight weeks.

Here are the pics of when we took Pat and Noah to Hidden Beach in Aptos. We went for the entire day, and the boys all had so much fun. While Gavin and Noah napped in the tent, Uncle Pat even got to go skim boarding with some of the locals.

We sure are so lucky to live so close to such a fun beach!

Last but not least, are pics of baby eating spaghetti for the first time:)
