Gilroy Gardens with Ma

The boys have been asking to go back to GG since we went for Parker's birthday, so we decided to take Ma today! All of the Lumination decorations are up and that was really neat to see too. We conquered almost the entire park and stayed from 10am to 4pm. The boys were exhausted by the time we left, but were still going strong! They even asked if we could stay the evening to see the Lumination show. Austin's favorite part of the park is the roller coaster, which he made me ride two times in a row with him. Gavin's favorite part was the giant swings...and he went four times in a row. No lines mean you just ride and ride!

{Gavin 83 Months}

Dear Gav,

Turning another month older in Maui. Such a treat!

This past month has been a giant trip for you! We have only been home a few days, and you are SUCH an awesome traveler! You listen so well, help me out with bags, and you adapt to the new surroundings and schedule in minutes. My travel boy.

Not much to say as the pictures say it all!

Thank you for being such a bog help to me. LOVE you-

Momma

Drums of the Pacific Luau

Special treat tonight....we went to Drums of the Pacific Luau!!! This has been our favorite luau here in Maui due to the awesome VIP seats as well as the fire dancing part of the show. We went with Rusty and Meghan, sat right in front, and were first to eat dinner. The boys LOVED the kalua pork, teriyaki chicken and mahi mahi. Oh, and lets not forget about the sweet Hawaiian bread! Mai Tai's were endless and the show as awesome as usual. Super fun night for us all.

Going to visit the real "Camp Maui"

Today we did something that I have been wanting to do on Maui for years! We drove upcountry to Haiku to see the 4th Marine Division Memorial Park! This is where my Grandma Donovan was living when he served as a marine. He lived here in 1943 and 1944 and we got to read all about the war and what the marines did while they "trained" here at Camp Maui. Such an awesome thing to see, and it was really special to me. Best part for the kids? There was a giant awesome playground built by the community and they played for a few hours!

Beach days in Maui

Our days have been filled with daily trips to different beaches, nap/rest time in the afternoon, followed by evening pool time and BBQ. Lots of sand, salt and fresh fish! Each of the boys have a boogie board and they spend hours upon hours riding the waves. No more life jackets, they do really well, and even when wiped out by waves, they get back on!

{Austin 53 Months}

Dear Austie,

Well, here we are. Turning another month old in Maui, and you are having the time of your life. You can swim so well, and really love that we can trust you more and more now. We still can't take our eyes off of you, BUT you are doing better with swimming and its so neat to watch.

Lots of pictures this month and you can see in your smile how much you love life!

Love you Austa!

Hana, Hawaii

So when we planned this trip, we planned it with the Horton's and Hayden's and decided that we would call it "Camp Maui" since we were going for so long. The kids didn't do any "summer camps" all summer, this was IT! We had our t-shirts and hats made, and it was so fun to wear them all together. We had a blast in Hana, and did a lot of fun things. Hikes, cliff jumping, red sand beach, and Hana bay were a few of the adventures. A really fun week in Hana, and we are so thankful we were invited to go!
