Monkeys

I am not really sure everyone understand how much these kids are like monkeys. They are most happy when they are off the ground, climbing, jumping, or being on top of something. This is a common vision I see. No, I no longer get nervous or scared they will hurt themselves. If that happens, they will learn!

Summertime!

Today Evangelina invited us to swim at her pool. The boys had a blast, and Gavin even taught E how to use the kick board! We are excited for summer to start.

Last day of Mountain School

Well, its the end! Can't believe we have been hiking this mountain for three years! Today Gavin was the "cooking boy" and we made ice cream:) Mother Earth stopped by to tell stories, and it was a great last day. Of course I have more detailed observations in his Mountain School book, but I still needed to put it here:)

At the end he is flying free, like a bird, onto elementary school. They each ran down the path that they built. So much fun for us all.

Second last day of school

Still in shock at how big my baby is! This is the same Starbucks that we have been stopping at (occasionally) for the last three years. He look so big in the chairs now!!!

Gavin just blows me away with how independent he is at school. He is so social, and just loves to be there. I did a ton of observations on his second last day, as I want to be able to remember it forever.

Last Day

Here we are, our last day in Maui. We have had a wonderful week, and we need one more morning at the beach. The boys are in their element, and just could not be more happy.

They both learned how to roll around in the waves today, and they thought that was pretty neat. Getting more and more adventurous with the ocean, and its so neat (and scary!) to watch.

Austin has NO fear of the ocean, and will just run for it. He will get a big mouthful of sand and water, and keep at it. Little water baby. He also will NOT keep his swimsuit on once its wet. No way, it must come off, right away. So, this is how most of our trip was. Austin with a suit on at first, then naked. :)

Evening in Lahaina

Another favorite place we like to eat is Koa's Seaside Grill. The fish here is delicious, and the kids love sitting right on the water. They also love playing with the wiki stix. May be their favorite part! The sunset is pretty amazing as well.

After dinner we walked around town and had shave ice for dessert!

Snorkel Guy!

Here he is! Mr. Snorkel!!! He has been waiting since last year to do this again, and he was so excited! He was off. A little hesitant at first (Says the water was cold???) but then he was OK. Saw lots of fish, and his favorite was the "black fish."

After snorkeling in Kapalua, we headed back down to Lahaina for more baby beach. Could not get enough. We met up with our friends, the Goldberg's too.

Both the boys had a blast, and even saw some more fish and crabs.
