{Austin 27 Months}

Dear Austin,

Today you turn 27 months on the island of Maui! What a treat! It is the day before mothers day, and we all just got to Maui. You are in HEAVEN here. The beach, the pool, the birds, the lizards, the beautiful sky and sun. Everything you need.

These days you are chatting up a storm. You say just about anything and everything, and we really need to watch what we say around you! Two and three word phrases you are saying now. Your speech therapist Joyce is so proud of you, and is convinced that you just talk when you want, and you know how to say so much. She loves you to bits, and can't get enough of you. She says you are right on track for your age, and there is no delay now. She wants us to work on trying to have you tell us what you want before the meltdowns start...and we are learning how.

You finish almost everything you say with "Pease" and then "Tank-uuu" Its so cute, and it gets you what you want!

You continue to love the outdoors. You have already been in the sand and ocean now, and you love it! To be honest, its a little scary because you have no fear of the ocean! You just run into the waves and fall over in them. You could care less when they topple over you, and its not exactly fun to watch because you make us nervous!

You love to pretend cook, ride bikes, play in the sand, play in water, do dishes, read books, organize cars, and go to the park.

You are such a joy to be around, and everyday is a treat for me...thank you for making me such a proud momma!
