Halloween 2015

Happy Halloween! This year we were invited to the Hayden's Halloween party, and went there to trick or treat in the evening. The boys had a blast wth all their buddies and got a little too much candy. Gavin ran the entire way and Austin took his time. The knight and the dragon had a blast!

Halloween Party 2015

Here are the pictures from the annual "Emma, Evie and Evangelina's Halloween Party." The Williams host an awesome party every year, and we always look forward to it! The boys talk about the apple bobbing and donut on a string contest ALL year long. This year they dressed as The Knight and The Dragon, after one of our favorite books. 

Best part of the party? Mrs. Faye was there with her family! Gavin's K teacher is good friends with the Williams, and I knew she would probably be there, but I wanted to surprise G. He was SO excited, I am not sure he left her side very much. 

Austin had a blast too...after he did a LOT of people watching. He is just a little spooked by all the costumes, so he needs to check out every environment we go to during halloween! He hit the piñata so hard, almost broke it all the way.

Uesugi Farms

Every Wednesday Gavin and Natalie have a play date. This week we decided to go down to Morgan Hill to Uesugi Farms to meet the Fiebers! Gavin, Natalie, Austin, Elliot, and Casey had a blast. It was SO HOT out, but they still had fun. We did a train ride, hay ride, and played around for a while. The farm ran out of ice cream, so on the drive home we stopped at a McDonald's for ice cream and there was an indoor air conditioned play land! Perfect! They played for over an hour!

{Gavin 74 Months}

Dear Gava,

We are all calling you what your brother calls you now. Its cute and you don't mind one bit!

Oh boy, you are busy these days. School, playdates. parties, you name it and you wanna go. This past weekend we had your schools Fall Festival, and you were SO mesmerized with the robotics team! You played with them, watched them, and studied them all night. You asked "Can I join the robotics team?" and it was so cute. 

You are not sleeping well because you had a cold, then ear infection, and now your tummy hurts from the antibiotics. One thing after another. We are hoping that when you get your tonsils out you will be better!

Besides the ear infection, you have been just great. Active and loving life as usual! LOVE you Gava!

Spina Farms 2015

{Austin 44 Months}

Dear Austie,

Time is passing quick. It is still warm out, and you are still loving to bike around everywhere. You prefer to be outside almost all the time, and you love to play. 

You LOVE school. So so much. I'm thinking of switching you to the older class, the 3/4's, because you want more! You are SO involved, love to play with others, and you have proven to us that you are totally cool with no nap in the afternoon. You "can handle it" as you say. (unlike your brother!)

I am learning that you and your brother are SO much different. I can't really say how, but you are. All the things I thought were true for this age are out the window. You are SO independent. You don't need me all the time. You are so brave and you talk about your feelings all the time. You can pinpoint exactly how you are feeling even when very frustrated. I love this about you, because its so east to know what you want and need. 

You are active. Busy. Always on the move. Never slow down. Eating. Always eating. Laughing. Pretend play is your favorite.

"GUN GUN GUN!" you say as you are pretend shooting things. Oh boy. "Let them play" says the experts. So we do. 

You eat well and sleep well. You ask me every night "Can you sleep with me a long night???" because you want me to lay with you. Most nights I have to get up before you are sleep, not because I really want to, but because I have things to do. I make a special point to lay with you until you are sound asleep because I know that this too shall pass. I love cuddling with you and tell you so often.

I love you SO MUCH Austie!
