Merry Christmas 2015!

Six AM on the dot, Gavin was up to see if Santa came! He came to tell us that he did come, but he forgot to turn the tree lights on! Haha!

We waited until almost six thirty for Austin to wake up, he has a little cold so he has been sleeping a lot, but when he woke up, he was READY to go!

I am pretty sure each and every present was unwrapped before 7 am. We got to FaceTime Grandma and Grandpa in Cincinnati, Marisa and Courtney in Texas, and Ma and Papa. The boys didn't even know what to play with first. So many choices. :)

We are all SO blessed to have what we have and who we have in our lives. We spent the day playing, going for a bike ride to the park, and napping...and I am as thankful as ever for my beautiful and healthy family. (I am also thankful I didn't need to work!)

Merry Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve dinner here at our home this year...and it was great! After Ma, Papa, and Auntie Winnie left, we set out the cookies for santa and put the boys to bed. Austin was a bit nervous about Santa "coming when we are asleep" but I promised him I would make sure everything was OK.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve from our handsome boys to you!

Santa 2015

We were invited over to the Stepanchenko's house for dinner and a surprise visit from Santa! We had a nice dinner, the kids played (So quietly!!! What happens when the boys play with a calm girl!!!) and then Santa made his appearance. We were all a bit nervous for Austin, since he is SO scared. He immediately ran to the corner of the couches and hid. Cried for a few minutes and then finally opened his eyes and looked at Santa. Gavin and Evangelina had a blast sitting on Santa's lap, talking to him, singing songs, and opening the presents that Santa brought. Austin did get up for about a minute to go run and get his present from Santa's ELF! He then ran back to his spot and got in the corner.

At the end, Santa came close to Austin and said Merry Christmas, and Austin talked to him! It was a Christmas miracle!!! :)

Gavin's Kinder Holiday Party

Austin and I went to work at Gavin's holiday party in class. Austin spent recess with the kinder class, and helped enjoy the party. Gavin has such a neat class, full of very sweet kids, and of course the best teacher ever. We are so lucky!

{Gavin 76 Months}

Dear Gava,

Another month. I am not sure when you grew up so fast, but you have. You are so independent, prefer to do mostly everything on your own.

You love school, your friends, and playing (most of the time) with your brother. You love to read, play with your magnatiles, play with your legos, and pretend play.

You are in size 6/7T now, and most your pants are too short. You are super tall, and everyone thinks you are 7 or 8 years old. You say "Ha, NO silly!!! Im SIX!"

We love you SO much Gava!!!!!

Visit to Bethlehem!

This was our first time going to see the live nativity scene of Bethlehem! It is held at the Baptist Church in Santa Clara, not far from our house. It was a really neat live reenactment of the night Jesus was born. The boys got to do a bunch of activities like see the animals, work at the carpentry station, go fishing and get gold coins, and also got to see the entire night Jesus was born. It was really special for us, as we had Ma and Papa there with us. Can't wait for many more years of this!

{Austin 46 Months)

Dear Austie,

Yet another month passed by. I don't even understand how you have grown up so much, but you have. You are so tall. So smart. So happy and full of entertainment ALL the time. You know that you are the life of the party, and you shine!

You can be found cooking, playing fireman, reading books, playing iPad, and playing outside all the time. You love school, and are so busy there. You love to snuggle at bedtime and beg me to "sleep for me for long time" every. single. night. I always lay with you for a bit. Its my favorite.

You are not very interested in writing your name, or writing anything actually. You could care less about learning letters and such. Oh boy, we have some work to do next year! For now, you shall play!

You are in 4T cloths, diaper while sleeping, and size 12 shoes. Thats the average shoe size of a 6yr old. You are three. We KNOW you will be tall!

We LOVE YOU SO MUCH Austie!
