Happy Halloween 2016

From the cutest Luke Skywalker's you have ever seen, Happy Halloween! This year we went to the Horton's for dinner and then trick or treating. Lets just say that the boys got WAY too much candy. Their bags were full and weighing down so much that we needed to stop! They RAN from house to house, very loud "TRICK OR TREAT! THANK YOU!" and then again and again for blocks and blocks. It was exhausting! Its now time to eat lots of candy and take a break until the next holiday.

Halloween Parties!!!

Halloween is no longer a little holiday that we get dressed up for once or twice and do a *little* trick or treating...its HUGE! We have been to three Halloween parties, plus the school party, and the boys LOVE it. Here they are at the Williams annual party that we love. Two Luke Skywalkers here.

{Gavin 86 Months}

Dear Gava,

This month you have just taken off on your reading. You now read books to Austin without even being asked! You just read them. You no longer ask us what most things say...you will read them!

You are loving school, although it is "a lot of work" and you are exhausted. We get that. You work hard and you are tired! School every day, robotics club, soccer, Sunday school, you are busy!

You are liking your Sunday School class. Its down the street at Church of the Ascension and its a cute little class taught by Mrs. Christopherson. She tells me almost EVERY week how good you are, how well you listen and participate, and what a joy you are to her each week. She loves you! We know why.

You are almost done with soccer then we will take a little break for the winter. You LOVE soccer and enjoy this team and the games. You have fun, laugh, and work hard. We signed you up for spring soccer too, and you are excited about that.

We LOVE you Gava!

{Austin 56 Months}

Dear Austie,

Sometimes, when the day is right and we have the time, you and I will take an afternoon nap together. You tell me "I love naps! With YOU!" and we cuddle up and you fall asleep holding my hand. I never actually nap, I just look at that beautiful face and thank God you are here. When you wake up its because we need to leave to go get Gav from school, and you jump up, ready to go. You are SUCH an easy child when it comes to transitions. Even though you were sound asleep a second before, you will go with the flow and do what needs to be done. LOVE that about you. A trait you got from your dad.

These days you can be found loving your schools. You love "city school" at the rec center, have lots of friends and LOVE your "Miss Dani" so much. You are eager to be learning your letters and come home and show them off to us. You make lots of projects and love to collect. You also LOVE your Mountain School. Just adore it. You get in Kerri's car or Lanyll's car so eager to go to school. So easygoing. Go with the flow and play play play. You can bet that you will be doing any and every project in class, and will always be a cooking helper. You made pumpkin muffins for last snack and you have already planned your December snack...Skyline!

You are in 5T clothes, size 13 shoe, and SO tall. Taller than most the 1st graders. You are fast. A fast runner, biker, and karate guy. You are really into karate moves, light sabers, and anything ninja. Such a boy.

We LOVE you Austie!

Gavin in the fall

Gavin is having a great fall. Loving school, all his friends, and playing soccer. We even have a special date lunch every week, just the two of us. It is very nice and he is SUCH a love to me. I am so lucky.

Austin Mountain School in the fall

Austin sure loves his Mountain School. He is excited to go each and every day, and comes home with a LOT of stories about the day. We are so thankful to have this for him!
