Bike Movie

Austin Rides!!!

Tonight Austin really wanted to ride Gavin's big bike. He is way too small, so we thought it was time to get out the bike Gavin got when he was Three. After they put the training wheels on, Austin hopped on the bike, and was off! Right out the garage! He made it all the way down to the end of the street before he needed to get off to collect some rolly poly bugs he saw.

I am still so amazed! He has been riding the balance bike for a long time, but this bike is for BIG kids! Can't believe it!

Natural Bridges Field Trip

This was the last beach field trip I will ever go on with Gavin at preschool! We have been coming here for three years, many times a year. I still can't believe it....my baby will be in JK next year!

It turned out to be a nice sunny day....but super windy! The kids could care less, and were all soaking wet at one point. We had trail mix snack and went on a hike up the coast. It was beautiful, and Gavin held my had the whole time (along with a teacher and Ryan:)

I am so glad to have had this special time with him. He loves it and so do I.

Trouble is his MIDDLE NAME!

He gets into all the food he is not supposed to. If we ever have sweets in the house, he knows where they are and how to get them! The first pic he had gotten into the Easter cookies. He has an oatmeal raisin in one hand, and a bunny in the other. Guilty face. The second picture he was caught red handed...took all the seedlings we planted, and dumped them in his tractor. Then dumped them out. GUILTY! Both times, he smiles, laughs, and says "Oh NO Austie!" It is VERY hard to keep a straight face.

Happy Easter!

Today we celebrated Easter at Ma and Papa's house. We got to see the Tam family, so it was extra special! The boys all had a super fun egg hunt and found so many eggs!

It was a very sunny and warm day, so the boys actually got in the fountain of the pool. Austin tried to swim, and it was so cute. Nothing like Easter celebration in the pool!

Wildwood Park Egg Hunt

What a fun celebration! Balloon flowers and animals, two legged race, hula hoops, and a huge egg hunt. Boys loved it. Plus, best part? Ryleigh, Ma & Papa were all there! The boys were so happy to have them all!

Special Day with DADDY!

Gavin and I had been looking forward to this day for so long! Daddy took the day off work so he could come with us to Mountain School! He was even the cooking dad! Gavin and daddy made oatmeal raisin cookies, and had a blast. At school Gavin showed him all the stuff he does. It was so special to have him there.

Expert Travelers

Thankful I had Gavin's help when we travel! He is SUCH a good traveler. He even rolls both bags for me. Austin? Well, he has some learning to do. Overall, he was good. Minus the epic tantrum he threw RIGHT as we were exiting the plane....because HE wanted to roll the suitcase, but we didn't have time to wait for him to get it....it was the kind of tantrum where he threw himself on the ground, in front of the pilot, while I had him, 3 bags, and a stroller to unfold. Oh, and the line of people behind us. Beautiful! You have some practice to do Austin!

Egg Hunt

Ma had the best egg hunt today! Oh, the kids all had SO many eggs! Their baskets were huge pails, so they had way too much! I think Austin and Addie just stopped and ate each egg they found. Both of them may have had too much candy.

Butterfly Show

We had a super fun day today with Grandma. She took us to the butterfly show at Krohn Conservatory. We went when Gavin was a little guy, and we have not been since. The boys LOVED it! They each got to catch and hold a butterfly. It was pretty neat. Then afterwards, we stopped by Eden Park to feed the ducks and play. It was a chilly but sunny day. Boys didn't care about the chill...in fact, Austin won't even wear a jacket. Ever.

First time bowling!!!

Gavin has been begging to go bowling with Griffin for SO long! He really wanted to go on a rainy day, so we went! The kids had a blast bowling, and it was so cute to watch. Gavin tells everyone about his experience. He just had so much fun. Oh, and he bowled 100...impressive!

After bowling, we went to Skyline for dinner. This was the first trip where we only ate it ONCE the whole week! Then after skyline, we went to Graeter's for ice cream! Yum!

{Gavin 56 Months}

Dear Gavin,

This past month has been a hard month for you. You seem to be going through some sort of a growth spurt, and you are pretty emotional at times. You still want to be cuddled and hugged. It helps you. I will cuddle and hug you forever if it helps. I love being close with you. Just tonight you said to me "Mama? You are the best girl in the world" I melted onto the floor.

We have been busy busy busy. School, play, and travel. We are in Cincinnati right now, and you are having a BLAST. You adore your cousins, and have so much fun staying with Grandma and Grandpa.  We are as busy as ever, and you are soaking it all in.

You are really into playing in dirt, sand, and any sort of yard work. You LOVE to help build, fix, destruct, and just plain work. You are the worlds best helper.

You are in 5T clothing, still diapers at night, and sleeping like an expert. You are a wonderful eater, and an amazing chef. Many days and nights we eat your "creations" that you make in the kitchen. Some pretty good. Others questionable. :)

Glad you still need mama cuddles Gavie. Love you lots.

Mom

The Land

What a fun day!!! We headed out to Grandma and Grandpas land today. We filled the day with playing in the dirt, looking for frogs in the pond, roasting hot dogs on a stick, gardening, hiking to the creek, playing in the creek mud, rinsing off in the chilly pond, and lots more. Oh, and how could I forget about the 4Wheeler! They both loved it...Gavin rode it with Grandma, and Austin sat on it when it was OFF. No way he would ride it. Lastly, Papa took us for a ride on the back of his pick up truck. How Ohio of us. Boys loved it. Always wanted to do it Gavin says.
