"I am a Fire Chief "

Austin in his heaven. He LOVES this field trip to the Helitak Firestation. We got to see the helicopter take off, the truck driving, and he got to spray the big and little hose. He could not stop bouncing the entire time!

{Gavin 75 Months}

Dear Gava,

Another month. You are busy as usual! Always having fun, no matter where we go!

You have had some issues lately with your hearing, so we have had to get your hearing tested. So far, the results are good and we will wait until the fluid is gone to see what happens. You also are about to get your tonsils and adenoids out this month. You are NOT excited about this, but you are a bit interested in the continuous popsicles and ice cream I promised. Hoping for the best. I do have to say that you have had SO many doctor appointments over the last few months and you are awesome when we go. You and your brother are SO well behaved, and I am so proud. Its not fun to wait in so many waiting rooms, but you do it, and you do it so well.

You have really been enjoying Kinder and love to go every day. You love your teacher and your classmates, and everything that school has to offer. I had a conference with Mrs. Faye 2 weeks ago to see how you are doing, and she had incredible things to say about you! You are doing great, learning to read, starting to write on your own, and such a bog helper to her. We are so proud!

Love you Gav!

Austin at Mountain School in the fall

{Austin 45 Months}

Dear Austin,

Or should I call you firefighter. You tell everyone that you have "work to do" and you are ALWAYS putting out fires! Of course a field trip to the fire station is EXACTLY what you need. You dressed in your firefighting gear and were the first to do everything.

You are busy busy these days. You don't stop, and you keep up with your brother with everything. If he can do it, so can you. You are three going on six.

You are sleeping, eating and doing wonderful as always. You really prefer to eat bars (granola, fig, any kind of bars!) all day long. You love all sorts of food, and will ask to stop for donuts and coffee ALL the time. Or bagels and coffee. You know you can get me with the coffee talk!

You are loving school. You are involved with everything school has to offer and play all day long. You like to sit for circle time, but you prefer my lap over next to your pals. You love your teachers and act like you have known them forever. Teacher Leslie and Jutta are favorites.

You and I still have 4 mornings a week that we have unscheduled, and its so nice for us to just hang out. We go to parks, the library, the zoo, you name it, and we do it. I let you choose, and I make sure that only one morning a week we are home so I can get things done. I am cherishing these days where you are home with me:)

Love you SO much Austie!

Noah comes for a visit!

This week Grandma and Noah came for a visit. We were all so excited to have them here. We had a very busy week filled with SO much to do. Billy Beez, trampoline park, bounce house park, Happy Hollow Zoo, San Francisco, Sausalito, and lots in between. The boys had a BLAST together, got along so wonderfully, and did everything together. They didn't have one single fight all week long, and were together all day long. We are so thankful that they got to come!
