Dear Austie,

My baby is almost 2 and a half! How is this possible? You are no longer a "baby" around here, you MUST be called a big boy. You are very offended when we try to give you a zippy cup (you call it "baby") or a kid spoon/fork (you call it "baby") or ANYthing that resembles a baby. Its very sweet, as you want to be JUST like your big brother, but I do honestly wish the time would slow down. You ARE my baby.

These days you can be found running wild with your brother. You can basically be found doing anything and everything he is doing. All the time. You boys fight a LOT, and you play a LOT. Just depends on the day. Mostly, you always want what Gavin has, so that causes a bit of an issue. Surprisingly, you are a great sharer! You know how to give others turns, and you know how to "wait turn" or "turn pease!" for something. If you see someone at the park upset or crying, you will usually walk up to them and give them a sand toy...its very sweet of you.

You are potty trained during the day! You totally did and do all the work! You prefer "No baby pants" so we are usually not allowed to put a diaper on you. Somehow you still let us put them on for naps and bedtime, thank gosh! Also, you still wont wear underwear, but we will take what we get!

Your speech is exploding these days. Two and three word sentence...and million sod new words. You repeat what we say all day long, and some words are SO cute! When you say yellow, I just fall over. "Ye-yo" its so cute! Or when you are surprised, you will shout "What!!??" really loud. You say "Pease" and "Tank-you" all day long, and you know that's how you get what you want. You also sing a LOT, but we have no idea what song you are singing! We are so proud of you!

You are sleeping great (minus when you are sick, and thankfully that's not often!) but you still get up around 5:30am. You crawl into bed and snuggle with daddy...then at 6 you get up, and find daddy's clothes to give him to wear. Again, so adorable. You and your brother go to bed at 8pm the latest, and you nap from 1-4, so we are pretty pleased!

You continue to be a great eater, and eat all the time. Whatever we eat, you must have.

You are in size 2/3T, size 4 diapers, and size 9 shoe. Your feet are huge, you are wearing the shoes Gavin wore when he was 3.5 years old!

We love you SO SO much baby Austie!!! (If I said that to you, you would say "NO! NO baby A-tee!"
