I knew that the CalFire field trip was going to be a huge success with Austin. He loves all things firetruck, and was talking about it for a week. Lets just say, he was the first to climb on the truck, squirt the hose, climb on the helicopter, high five the firefighter, and all the things they did. As soon as they said, "OK, come on up!" He would JUMP up and run to do whatever they asked. He was in complete heaven. Teacher Sarah said at one point, "Well, he sure doesn't miss any opportunities!"
He wore his fire truck shirt, his hat, and his coat. It got pretty warm, but he kept it on. He told all the firefighters that he was "Putting out a BIG BIG fire this weekend!"
