Gavin's 6yr Well Check

I still can't believe that Gavin is SIX! We headed to Dr. Croplands NEW fancy office in Los Gatos today for his well check. Here are the stats:

Weight: 50lbs 72%
Height: 49inches 95%
BMI: 14.9 34%
BP: 96/60
HR: 70

He is up to date with immunizations so he did NOT need any shots, that's all he needed to hear! Gavin had his check up and is as always super healthy. No issues with much except two things. #1 he has been snoring quite a bit (I noticed in Ohio when I had to sleep with him!) We have been watching his one tonsil for years now as it was enlarged, but now they are both SUPER big and enlarged. Touching one another! So Dr. C said back to the ENT we go, and I know the answer...a tonsillectomy! I'm totally fine with that since his one tonsil has been SO big forever and caused sore throats. Now the snoring...its time to go! #2 was the fact that Gavin has been having #2 accidents. Tiny tiny accidents but happening none the less. Back in May we started him on miralax and potty sitting at the same time every day (Morning and evening) The theory was that if his stool was always super soft, then he could not hold it when he is busy (what was happening) and he would go regularly. Either way it got a little better but not all the way. So we are off tomorrow to see a Peds GI doctor. I was REALLY hoping not to have to go this route, as specialists usually go big guns, and I have a feeling a "bowel clean out" is in the works. Start fresh and maybe there was a constipation problem? Not sure, we will hear from the expert.

Gavin could care less that he has to go to two more appointments in the next few weeks, as long as he doesn't need a shot. Oh boy, I can only imagine what will happen when he goes to get the tonsils out! Eek!!!

All in all, it was a good appointment. A few issues but nothing too big and as usual we are so thankful for his health. He is big and strong, and so intelligent. Not much more we could ask for!

More updates later with the specialists!
