Today we headed to Kevin Moran Park (Aka Ma's park) for Gavin's 4th Birthday park playdate! We meet with his buddies Ryan and Elise every week....and today we got to bake and bring sprinkled cupcakes! It was a very sunny day, perfect to run around and play at the park. Even better, Ma was there:)
After some long naps, we got in the car and headed to Benihana for Gavin's special dinner request. He LOVES to see them cooking, and he is so amazed. We got a great table, and Ma & Papa came....how perfect! Gavin got his teriyaki chicken and white rice, and he was set. We ended the night with ice cream and candles...and the whole restaurant singing to Gavin!
After dinner, we headed home for our show. Gavin had decided he was going to put on a show with the new music instruments he got from Ma and Papa. He said the show was from "7 to 9pm" and he "did not have to go to bed until 9pm!" Gavin was clear that HE got to "make all the rules on his Birthday" and we let him. Yikes! He put on a GREAT show, and then he decided that he also needed me to sleep in his room at night. He has been begging me to have a sleepover with him (ever since Griff and Bells were here and slept in his room:) So, in his room I slept! What a birthday!!!
