This morning we left for San Diego at SIX THIRTY AM! We were very proud to have the boys and car ready to go! I had worked a 12hr shift the day before so it was up to daddy to get all ready...and he sure did!
We made it 2 hours before the first stop. A potty and gas stop. It was funny because the boys went into the gas station to go potty, and Austin and I walked around outside...where he did his business. Like he knew what to do;)
Back in the car, and Austin fell asleep for a few hours, until we got to LA. We stopped in Santa Monica, mainly because Gavin threw up from being carsick. He fell asleep for a few minutes and woke up and threw up. Sooo we stopped! Cleaned up, and then got lunch to eat at the beach...yep, nothing like a little McD's to cure the carsickness! (Its what the 3 yr old SAW and wanted...) So we played on the beach for a few hours, got everyone nice and tired, and headed to San Diego. Both boys managed to stay awake for the next 3 hours. ??? It was very tiring to keep them entertained, but nothing I am not used to. I do have to say that having them in car seats is a lot harder than a plane...bc ALL they wanna do it get out!
We made it to our condo by 5pm. We think we did a pretty good job! No speeding tickets and only one vomit. Alive!
