Down at the farm!

Today Dayle and I took Gavin to Emma Prush Farm, in south San Jose. This farm was once a dairy farm, and the owner Emma Prush left the land to the city as long as they kept it a farm, and allowed to the people of the city of SJ to come enjoy it. It is a neat little story, and it is nice to know some of San Jose's farming history. The farm is beautiful, and full of animals. The one animal that Gavin LOVED the most was the roosters. Probably because they were all roaming free, and he was able to chase them. Every few minutes they would "Cock-a-doodle-doo" and Gavin would stop in his tracks...watch them make noise...and keep on chasing. We also saw pigs, ducks, goats, and turkeys. There is a HUGE play area for the bigger kids as well. 10 minutes away and its free...can't beat that! I am thinking that we may be visiting here a lot in the future!
