Gav these days....

Derek and I are always being surprised by Gavin's vocabulary. He talks so much, and uses words that make us laugh and surprise us at the same time...like plenty and probably, so cute! Here are some sentences that I can think of right now...I am sure there are a million more too.

"Have plenty Mama"
"Big Massive poo-poo!"
"That's probably right"
"It happens, its already over"
"Don't you dare!"
"What is Dada doin? DADA what ya doin???"
"Davin probably already read that book. Pick nother one"
"Davin go potty. Mama stay here do dishes. Davin be RIGHT back"

IN other Gavin news, he is still holding strong with his amazing potty training skills. Absolutely no accidents and he is dry every day after nap. He has become so independent with going potty, 90% of the time he wants to do it by himself, and he does. He still needs help getting pants back on, but he sure can get them off by himself.

G has not mentioned his paci but a few times lately, and both times were when he saw one of his friends with one! Haha I guess I forgot that this would come up, but it did. He did not seem to care at all, he just scrunched up his nose and told me "Paci for baby, give it to baby" when he saw them. He did not understand why they had one, and they are not babies. I tried to explain, but by the time I did, he could care less. So proud! While talking about "his baby" recently, he told me that "baby hungry, baby can have paci." :)

G is slowly starting to protest his nap in the afternoons. Only for 2 minutes, he will tell us over and over "Don't have to take a night-night!" and want to read about 50 books. He is obviously tired, and can't pay attention to a single story bc he is so sleepy, but he sure is persistent! After we get him in bed, he is sound asleep in 2 minutes. He is tired, just realizing he can protest it! Thank the Lord he is still in his crib!

We are busy buys busy lately. We go to the museum at least once a week, parks almost every day (weather still beautiful!), gym class once or twice a week, art class once a week, zoo once a week, school once a week, and playdates at least once a week. Go, go, go, GO! I am tired, but the benefit of having G busy and active is very well worth it. He LOVES all of these things, and has the best time...I smile at him (almost) all day long. As long as G is busy, he is happy, and he rarely complains or whines. Its gonna be a lot harder to be this busy when little brother is around, so we will do it as long as possible! Although I have a feeling that poor little brother will not be on nearly as tight of a schedule as G was/is...but that's the way it is!

Speaking of Gym class, we joined a little toddler gym close by last week, and have already been three times! They have an open gym time for the toddlers every. single. day. of. the. week. It is the best open gym time I have ever seen in my entire life. We get there at 10:45, watch the previous class finish up, and then at 11 its open for free play. Gavin SPRINTS to get his shoes off, sanitize his hands, and he is in! He explores every inch of the gym, and is a total monkey. He swings on all the bars, walks on the balance beams, jumps on the trampoline, and jumps into the foam block pit. He is seriously wild, and he looks like a total pro at the gym equipment! The first day, the teacher said, "Wow, he has been doing the bars for a while!" and I told her no, this was his first time in a gym, but he loves to hang! He seriously, stands on a big block, looks for the bars, and JUMPS to them to swing. Like a little gymnast. The first day I was kinda worried, as he was being such a dare-devil, but he's totally fine! He will also hang from the rings with both hands, then swing his legs up and hook his feet in the rings too...and hang like that while everyone crowds around to see him...he's also a bit of a show-off. At the end there is circle time, and songs, both of which Gavin has started to love. We stay the ENTIRE hour, and are the LAST ones off the gym mat. Gavin is soaked with sweat, and its so funny to see. We may sign up for some classes this winter (as it gets more crowded). The classes still cost money, so we will wait until the open gym gets too crowded for G. I will know because he will tell me, he often says, "No go in there, too many people" if something is too crowded! :)
